Squad Canvas

Before we build,
we evaluate.

Our Discovery process is inspired by the Business Aware Design Canvas and serves as the starting point for all of Squad22’s custom projects. Before designing a screen or writing a line of code, we assess whether your idea is feasible, who needs to validate it, and what to do first.

The problem this solves

Guesswork is the biggest enemy of your budget

Most projects that go wrong don't fail because of poor execution. They fail because no one took the time to verify—before spending time and money—whether that idea actually solves a real problem for the people who will be using it.

Squad Canvas Team

Do you recognize
any of these signs?

If any of these statements sound familiar, Squad Canvas is the right first step.

Immersion

We understand your business, your customers, and the situation you’re currently facing. No generic forms—just real conversation.

Canvas

We map out the problem, solution, and unique selling points on the BAD Canvas, Squad22’s proprietary framework that organizes everything into a single map.

Validation

We test the riskiest hypotheses with real users, not just based on the opinions of those already involved in the project.

Roadmap

We deliver the plan: what to build first, what to leave for later, and a realistic investment estimate for each stage.

Who it's for

Founders with an untested digital product idea. Companies that want to launch a new initiative (app, system, platform) without repeating mistakes from previous projects. Teams that already have a clear understanding of the problem but aren't sure of the right solution.

This isn’t for you if: your project has already been validated and you just need to execute it. In that case, go straight to Websites & Portals, Mobile Apps, or Systems & Automation—Discovery may not be necessary.

FAQ

Common questions

  • It’s the recommended starting point for custom projects (apps, systems, new products). Services like WaaS and Growth have their own onboarding process and do not require this step.

  • The Discovery phase itself involves 12 to 15 hours of active work, typically spread over 1 to 2 weeks to allow for validation with real users.

  • No. The roadmap and Canvas belong to you. If you decide to work with another team, the delivered material remains valid and usable.

  • The investment varies depending on the project’s complexity. During the initial conversation—which is free and no-obligation—we’ll provide you with an accurate estimate.
